Jotun Paints, one of the world’s leading producers and distributors of paints and powder coatings, revealed the launch of Colour Trends Vol.3, 2012. This palette was created by ‘Jotun Colour Ambassadors,’ a group of credible design professionals from the Middle East and North African (MENA) region, and customized to suit the Middle East homes.

“‘Colour Trends Volume III’, with the theme ‘Be Home,’ aims to inspire the consumers to appreciate more what they have and how easy and practical it is to give a new look to their home. They will experience the joy of being rejuvenated and refreshed, which is exactly what ‘Be Home’ theme is all about”, explains Maricor L Cruz, Regional Designer - MENA, Jotun Paints.

‘Be Home’ covers these three new and refreshing trends —‘Beauty,’ ‘Arabian’ and ‘Cruising.’ ‘Beauty’ trend has a soft, very feminine palette, aims to beautify your home, with its colours ranging from deep purple ‘Jamila’, warm shades of ‘Flamingo’, ‘Morjan’, ‘Tabeeia’, and soft colours such as ‘Khajal’, ‘Nouma’, ‘Cotton ball’, and Aneeqa’.  The ‘Arabian’ trend focuses on the things and colours that are unique in this region – dunes, honey, potteries, and inspires to bring these authenticities to your home, thus offering a palette of reflection of these inspiration – ‘Aasal’, ‘Qarmedi’, ‘Ramli’, ‘Ghoroub’, ‘Mohair’, ‘Naft’, ‘Kuthban’, ‘Lolo’.  Lastly,  ‘Cruising’ trend highlights the soothing effect of the blues and whites of the new palette – ‘Amwaj’, ‘Shiraa’, ‘Safaa’, ‘Tohlob’, ‘Asdaf’, ‘Moheet’, ‘Bahr’, ‘Maa’.

The third volume of Jotun Colour Trends is the outcome of the recent ‘Colour Trends workshop’. Jotun Colour Ambassadors identified and developed the new range of colors based on key factors like design trends in interior, architecture, home accessories, fashion,  current events, culture and tradition in this region. The group collaborated and came up with the trend forecasts for 2012-2013, which includes the ‘Be Home’ trends.

“Our region is beautiful and very unique compared to the rest of the world. These in return reflects different moods and colour palettes we have. We cannot just adapt colours that are coming from Europe for example, because it doesn’t reflect who and what we are. We needed to create a palette that suits us”, added Cruz.

“We are very proud to offer Jotun Colour trends volume 3, 2012. Our colour trends palette has been created and customized by a group of design professionals, Jotun Colour Ambassadors. This brings a very high credibility to our colour trends palette. We highly recommend and guarantee that our consumers will achieve and enjoy a refreshing yet trendy home through this year’s latest colours. This is our commitment to our consumers as the No. 1 in Colours”, concluded Per Olav Ramstad, Regional Marketing Director, Jotun Paints.

‘Be Home’ Color Trends Volume 3 colors are available in ‘Fenomastic’, in all Jotun Multicolor shops and Inspiration Centres across the MENA region.
