Abu Dhabi, UAE, 23 June, 2013:  Khaled Al Qubaisi was still on course to achieve his main target in the 24 Hours of Le Mans today as the 90th edition of the legendary endurance race headed towards its finish.

Sponsored by Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) and supported by Abu Dhabi Racing, Al Qubaisi is already in the record books after becoming the first Emirati driver to compete in the classic race at the Circuit de la Sarthe in France.

Before the start, Al Qubaisi, sharing the driving with Saudi Arabia’s Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki AlFaisal and Italian Andrea Bertolini in a Dunlop Ferrari 458 Italia, said he would be delighted to finish in the top ten in the GTE Pro class for cars adapted from production models.

After completing 261 laps, the JMW Motorsport team was holding tenth place in the class and had climbed to 37th overall with more than three hours remaining.
